1 - used 40 mm Berstorff Co-Rotating Intermeshing Twin Screw Extruder. Model ZE40 having a 33:1 L/D ratio. Gearbox is belt driven by 40 HP DC motor with Reliance SCR control. Manufactured in 1987. Barrel consists of 7 sections and is electrically heated and water cooled with closed loop system. Unit has 3-vent sections and water cooled feed throat. Temperature control panel has new temperature controllers installed. Panel and drive have been test run and are in operating condition (09/04). Gearbox supplies 400 RPM screw speed.
