1 - used Alar Auto-Vac Rotary Vacuum Drum Filter System. Model 6120. A detailed description is as follows: The dewatering system consists of a precoat slurry tank a screw conveyor for charging filter aid to the precoat tank a rotary vacuum filter a vacuum pump a filtrate pump and belt conveyor for solids removal. Stainless steel drum is 6 ft. dia. x 12 feet long and is driven by a 5 HP motor through a Reeves Vari-Drive unit. Speed range of 6 RPM to 30 RPM. Drum is suspended in a filter pan with an oscillating agitator driven by a 2 HP motor through a 60:1 gear reduction unit. Three blade knife discharge (2 knives recently replaced for $1000.00 each) driven by a DC synchronous/stepping motor. With new Graham Vacuum Pump ($12000.00) single stage liquid ring driven by 50 HP motor. Filtrate is removed from the system by a self-priming LaBour Centrifugal Pump driven by a 10 HP motor. Bags of filter aid are dumped into a hopper that feeds a screw conveyor and elevates the material into a polyethylene pre-coat slurry tank. The dumping hopper has an electrically driven bridge breaker and an electrically operated bin vibrator. The screw conveyor is driven by an electric motor mounted at the discharge end of the conveyor. The pre-coat tank is made of polyethylene and has a capacity of about 1250 gallons. It is equipped with a top mounted agitator. Waste sludge in a digester basin normally has a solids content of 2-3%. At this concentration the rotary vacuum filter will handle 10-15 gallons per hour of sludge for each square foot of filter area. The area of the drum is about 226 square feet for a filtration rate of about 2250 - 3400 gallons per hour or about 38-56 gallons per minute. F.O.B. - LOCATION
