Sanitary stainless steel contact surfaces. Previously used for pharmaceutical processing (Generic Tylenol & Herbal Dietary Supplements). All interior seams continuously welded and polished to sanitary finish. The vibrating fluid bed is located directly under a full length reverse pulse bag collector. The bag collector permits the use of air velocities up to 300 FPM with products as small as 10 micron without concern of dust carry off. All of the product remains in the dryer until it reaches the common discharge. Material drys by means of a coil which sits in front of the blower to heat up the air that comes up through the perforated bed. Unit was last used with an in plant boiler (Not included) as the heat source. Entire unit designed for easy cleaning. Dryer is mounted on casters which allow it to be rolled out from under the bag collector. This exposes the entire fluid bed and the underside of the bag collector for cleaning washing and changing bags. The inside of the bag collector housing has also been designed for easy cleaning. Air supply equipment designed for up to 9000 SCFM of process air including the following features: 15 HP TEFC motor air supply fan with v-belt drive air inlet filters aerofin steam coils RKC temperature controller with steam valve and actuator structural steel suppport base. Air exhaust equipment includes 15 HP TEFC air exhaust fan with v-belt drive structural steel support. 1.5 HP TEFC motor for bag collector. F.O.B. - LOCATIONHiThe machine has everything needed to continuously dry incoming material. In other words it obviously does not have a granulator at one end or a Sweco separator at the outfeed but it had everything in between. The only thing probably not there is the frame that we custom built on the spot around the dryer to work from and mount our granulators etc. We probably had to chop it up to get it out of the room.I’m not sure if the size of the inlet fan housing is the exact same size as the fan itself but looking at the blueprints it looks like the inlet fan is at least 42” in diameter. The specs say: “Air Supply equipment designed for up to 9000 SCFM of processing air including the following features:”… One of the features says “Air supply fan with a 15 HP TEFC chemical duty motor and v-belt drive”. Based on the blueprints the exhaust fan is 15 HP.I am having Maintenance check on all the parts to make sure everything is where we think it is and it’s complete. Keep in mind that the unit itself is SS so it’s all pretty clean but the fan units are painted carbon steel so they might need a paint job.I would like a week’s notice if someone wants to come see it so I can get everything together and wash it.ThanksFinally if I’m reading the blueprints correctly it looks like the fan motors and vibratory motor are 3-phase 60 cy 230/460 volt. And yes you should send me something if you’d like to try to sell it (assuming this deal doesn’t work out).ThanksJeff This sounds reasonable.Would you be able to get me some photos of all the components along witha basic description (model #s electrical requirements etc) so I can put togethera write up.Once I have that I will offer it out to my customer to net you $25000.00.Even if he is not interested in it I am very interested in finding a home for it.Would you consider letting me work on selling it as your exclusive agent fora period of 3 to 6 months? I can send you a proposal if you'd like.I look forward to your feedback.SincerelyJon Arnold--------------------------------------------------------------------------------From: Jeff Pressman [mailto:jpressman@puretekcorp.com] Sent: Wednesday February 19 2014 4:53 PMTo: jon@arnoldeqp.comSubject: RE: Witte F.B.D. Hi againThe unit cost us about $115000 (plus tax and freight) in the mid-nineties. We are looking for $25000.It’s a good machine and a great buy for someone that has a use for it. We shifted our business from large-volume/low dollar items to low-volume/higher dollar pharmaceuticals a few years ago. The Witte is really designed for multi-day runs. It can put out a lot of material but the cleanup is time consuming and too much for small runs.ThanksFrom: Jeff Pressman Sent: Wednesday February 19 2014 1:14 PMTo: jon@arnoldeqp.comSubject: Re: Witte F.B.D. Hi AHU is the air handling unit (blower and fan). We disassembled it to get it out of the room but it was running at that point and should be fine once reassembled. It is at our building here in L.A. We could load the truck. I will check on the price as soon as I get back to my office. Thanks JeffSent from my iPhoneOn Feb 19 2014 at 12:57 PM Jon Arnold wrote:Hi Jeff. Thanks for the quick response. I am very interested in offering your FBD to my customer. What is the AHU? Where is the unit located? Is the unit complete and in good mechanical condition?Do you have a price in mind? Can you load all the components onto buyer's truck or is disassemblythe responsibility of the buyer? We have a Witte continuous FBD that we had built about 15 years ago. I have all of the blueprints etc. All contact parts are SS (we are a pharmaceutical mfr). The bed is 3’ x 12’ and it comes with the AHU. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks Jeff
