The Founding
Louis Sogolovitz starts the business with a simple idea: buy machinery one company no longer needs and resell it to a company that can put it to work.
A Family Trade
His sons join the business, dismantling and recycling used machinery and learning the trade from the ground up.
The Arnold Name
Irving Arnold joins after marrying the daughter of Nathan Sogolovitz. He later founds Arnold-Roblin Company, focused on demolition and chemical industry equipment.
A Modern Model
Nate Arnold, son of Irving, joins Arnold Equipment and within a few years shapes it into the business model the company still follows today.
The Fifth Generation
Jon Arnold joins his father in November 1994 and goes on to lead the company as its fifth-generation owner.

Jon Arnold, great-great-grandson of founder Louis Sogolovitz.
Jon Arnold brings 32 years of experience as an industrial equipment dealer. He joined his father, Nate, in 1994 and today leads the company with the same personal service and fair dealing that have defined the family business since 1897.
Our customers span the chemical, paint, cosmetic, food, and pharmaceutical industries, along with many others.
