REBUILT 100 GALLON ROSS DOUBLE PLANETARY MIXER - MODEL HDM-100 - S/S - VACUUM - JACKETED - NEW XP MOTOR

One used, mechanically rebuilt Ross double planetary mixer model HDM-100, including the following features and specifications:

• The mixer is equipped with a Delroyd model HV-100 gear reducer. The reducer has a 59.4:1 ratio which will drive the planetary gearbox at approximately 29-1/2 rpm with an input speed of 1750 rpm. The bronze worm wheel has been inspected and found to be in excellent condition. All oil seals will be replaced with new and the gear reducer will be filled with sulfur-free worm gear lubricant.
• The mixer is equipped with a new, 25 HP, 1,750 rpm, 230/460, Class I, Groups C&D, Class II Groups F&G explosion proof, inverter duty motor.
• The planetary gearbox is cast iron and includes upper stirrer shaft caps, an upper sealing arrangement with a single braided packing, and a lower center (gear reducer shaft) cap. All bearings, bushings and gears inside the planetary gearbox have been replaced with new to bring the machine to “like new” mechanical condition. The planetary gearbox is lubricated with synthetic grease.
• Mechanical seals on stirrer shafts. The stirrer shafts are equipped with bearing housings with cartridge style bearings as well as mechanical seal housings with single mechanical seals to prevent lubricant from the bearings from entering the batch.
• The rectangular stirrers and the stirrer shafts are type 304 stainless steel.
• The vacuum hood is type 304 stainless steel and includes one 3” flanged charge port and one 1” NPT port. The hood is provided with new Viton O-rings to seal to the drive bonnet and the mix can.
• The mixer is raised by a new air/oil lift that was purchased approximately 5 years ago and never used. The lift is operated with a spring-to-close hand operated valve

The machine’s base is fabricated from steel channel and is 12” high.

• The machine is equipped with a jacketed, vacuum rated, mix can on casters with type 304 stainless steel product contact surfaces and a painted carbon steel exterior. The mix can is equipped with a side temperature probe port. There is currently a non-functioning temperature probe installed in the port to seal the mix can. The mix can is equipped with a manually operated 3” PBM flush bottom ball valve.
• Exterior parts of the machine have been painted with “Heavy Duty Machine Teal” oil based industrial enamel paint. The outside of the cast iron planetary gearbox, the exposed upper parts of the cast iron sleeve bearing and the underside of the drive bonnet (inside the hood) are coated with “Steel-it” stainless steel filled paint
