ThanxWally Senney President Met-Chem Inc. Only question I have is when you say list it on your site for less do you mean lower than $16k? I would notwant to do that as we should both list it for the same amount as we are partners on it. Or do you mean lessas in list it at $16K(as opposed to Drew's previous suggestion?)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------From: Wally Senney [mailto:wfsmc@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday December 27 2012 11:24 AMTo: 'Drew Senney'; jon@arnoldeqp.comCc: 'Jeff Kubiak'Subject: RE: I bought this you want to jv?Hi Jon I had a talk with Drew and Kubs about the used equipment and have some answers to your questions. If you take away our OEM accounts who only sell new filter presses in their wwt systems we sell a lot more used as compared to new probably 2 to 1. We price our units high for as is and relatively reasonable for reconditioned as we don't want to compete (or our unable to ) with auctions Ebay and scrappeys on as is items. Most of our customers go reconded as the other dealers won't perform this service. We also feel good used equipment is a limited commodity and that if we have something we want to maximize the sale on it as it isn't easily replaced...of course all the businesses we have here allow us to hold our items longer and not worry about sales this month if the future will bring higher margins on an item. Let's quote this at 16 k. below our other units in this size for as is and $19500 reconded and why don't you go ahead and list it on your site for less. We'll be happy with either sale. Remind us if it hasn't sold in a month and we can lower the price a little more and of course we'll go along with any sales offers you consider fair. Sound good? Take care Wally Wally Senney Guys With all due respect to Drew I think $17k may be a little steep for as-is. I was thinking more along the lines of 60-65% of new (Looking at a new 7 cf gasketed automatic Met-Chem Press) which would be $15000 to $16250.Even that I'm feeling might be a little strong. I have no problem being under the maximum price to keep inventory moving. The above percentage range is typical for what I've used over the last 19+ years selling used equipment. It has worked quite well for my company. We have not had much luck with the other presses we own together and I'm concerned it may bebecause of price. My gut is telling me that customers are being scared away from used as the prices are so close to new when you figure in the recond. cost.If this is a strategy to attract more new sales I get it but it does not help me when I've put moneyinto used equipment.Have you guys been moving a lot of used inventory or have you been seeing more movement in new presses?I really don't want to overprice my inventory and sit on it for what sometimes seems like an eternity.Just thinking out loud I welcome your responses.Jon --------------------------------------------------------------------------------From: Walter Senney [mailto:wfsmc@yahoo.com] Sent: Wednesday December 26 2012 8:30 PM Sounds good Jon pls send us a bill for r half....u fellas work out the frtSent from my iPhoneOn Dec 26 2012 at 4:53 PM Drew Senney wrote:It looks like this has 23 630mm plates is that correct? That would make it about a 7 cubic foot. Assuming we get the freight for rougly a $1000 I think its a good buy. We will list it for about $17000 'as is' I would say we would like to JV. Wally please confirm.
