It does have a baffle. However there is a bad spot of glass see photo. Before your customer asks no I am not reglassing it. Can we put a condenser? I do not have a condenser nor would I know how to size one if I had one.Are the seals solvent resistant?I do not know what the seals are.Is it jacketed for working above room temperature? The jacket is rated for 300 psi and 400 F. So it should be good for 400 F. Much higher than most room's temperature. What's the maximum viscosity this reactor can handle? I have no idea how to measure viscosity. I would say it is a heavy duty reactor. Other than that you will have to look at it and decide. Can the stirring blade be modified (or replaced _of course with additional cost) to be made into a scraper blade? They make sweep agitators out of glass. I have only seen a few. Yes you can always replace the stirring blade. I do not have the ability nor would be interested in trying to do it myself. I wonder if your customer could use a stainless steel stirrer or have it dipped in a protective coating that his product would not contaminate. Are the reactor's and stirrer's linings in pretty good conditions? They were both spark tested and showed no blemishes. As far as we can see it has never been used. Glass is glossy. Any scratches or chips? There are no scratches or chips that are visible. The baffle has a chip which I sent you pictures of earlier. It looks like the reactor moves up and down with a hydraulic system. Is it right? Is it functioning properly?Yes the reactor does move up and down. It is manual hydraulic and does work. What about the drive? The drive is there and runs. Does the system include a temperature controller for the heating fluid? Does not include a temperature controller this would be supplied with the heater sold separately. Does this reactor include some sort of warranty or return policy? No it is sold as-is as all used glass equipment is sold.5/4/05-I discussed your reactor with our President and he had a few additional questions:(to vendor 5/10) 1) who is the manufacturer?2) Are there any covers for the four lateral openings? are there any seals?3) Our President cannot quite understand the pictures of the reactor that you sent me: in his opinion it looks like the hydraulic cables are connected to the top of the reactor not to the vessel suggesting that the stirring anchor is hydraulic. My understanding from your description was that the stirring anchor is run by an electrical 0.75 HP motor and then there is an hydraulic system that moves the vessel up and down. Which one is correct?5/10/05 - per vendor - Manufacturer is Ceramic Coatings - There are no covers or seals for the top inlets.Take a look at the following pictures. Picture C shows the manual hydraulic pump under the vessel which will lower it. It also show the lubricator lines going to the agitator shaft seal. The shaft is driven by a electric motor via V-belt which are cover by a red belt guard. (to cust 5/11/05)
